Original Donnelly's established in 1934 by Harold "Doc" Donnelly. Historic connection - Harold served famous hamburgers and beers in pilsner glasses he called "Dem-O-crats." Small, intimate atmosphere. Known as the home of the best Reuben Sandwich in Iowa City. Irish pub character with good whiskey selection. Historic pedigree from the post-Prohibition era.
