Open since 1939. Despite the name, there is NO buffet - the name dates back to post-Prohibition when it sounded more respectable. Famous for hand-made cheeseburgers cooked on an irreplaceable 1950s Clark electric broiler. Esquire Magazine named it one of the nation's 24 best late-night food spots. Limited menu: cheese sandwich, hot nuts, chips, and legendary cheeseburgers.
